The festive season began on a joyful note as our academies gathered for a heartwarming carol service at the historic St. Nicholas’ Church. This much-loved event brought together pupils, staff, and families to share the magic of the season through song and reflection.
Singing together is a powerful way to connect, and this service beautifully captured the togetherness of our communities. With voices from all five academies blending harmoniously, the church was filled with music that celebrated the joy and hope of the festive season.
The church provided an excellent setting for our service. Parents, carers and families filled the church seats, their company making the event even more special. Watching them join in the singing or simply share in the moment was a reminder of how the festive season brings us all closer together.
Highlights of the service included a touching group rendition of “O Holy Night” and an energetic, joyful performance of “Joy to the World,” both of which had the congregation singing along. A reflective reading from one of our pupils added a moment of thoughtfulness, reminding everyone of the deeper meaning of the season whatever their religious beliefs or background.
For our academies, the carol service is about more than music; it is about connection. It offers an opportunity to come together as one community, celebrating not just the festive season but the values we share such as creativity, care and curiosity.
To all who joined us, thank you for being part of this special event and for supporting our communities.
