TVEd Young Journalists – Pennyman

On Wednesday 9th October we went with the rest of our year group to the Princess Alexandra Auditorium to meet author Cressida Cowell. We went by bus and there were lots of other schools there.

Cressida told us about her new books; The Wizards of Once, Which Way to Anywhere and Which Way Around the Galaxy? We are really looking forward to reading these.

Cressida told us about a legend in Scotland about a mountain shaped like a dragon. Rumours say that at night the mountain comes alive and even starts walking and stomping around! She got us to imagine seeing a dragon and what it would look like, we are hoping our hills don’t come alive.

Hiccup is in Cressida’s new story and he is from How to Train a Dragon, we like how she links her stories together with her characters.

She wanted us to think about what our superpowers would be if we had them. ’I would want waterpowers to lift me up into thin air’ – Lucia.

The best part of the day was when we got to buy a book that had been signed by Cressida Cowell.
